The hobbit: The desolation of the smaug is a fantasy adventure that was released in 2013. The film is directed by peter Jackson. It is the second installment of the novel the hobbit which was written by J.R.R Tolkien and published in 1937. The film will be a prequel to the lord of the rings film. A part of this film is adapted from the film the return of the king.

The screen play of this film was written by peter Jackson alongside Philippa Boyens, Fran Walsh Guillermo Del Toro. Lee pace, Evangeline Lilly, James Nesbitt, Stephen fry, Luke Evans, Manu Bennett, ken Scott and Sylvester McCoy are some of the characters in this film. The film premiered on December 2, 2013.the film starts off with Gandalf persuading Thorin Oakenshield to be able to get the Arkenstone that will unite the dwarves. This is where he comes with an idea on getting a burglar to steal the jewel from smaug.

The hobbit: The desolation of the smaug takes a different turn as the group is split between different groups. The group continues and Thorin and company reach the Lonely Mountain. It is in this mountain where Bilbo finds a hidden entrance. He attempts to get the Arkenstone but is not successful because he wakes up the Smaug.

They try to trick it as they attempt to drown it in molten gold in an attempt to kill the smaug. They do not success as smaug come out of the mountain more furious than ever. Bilbo just stands there wondering what he has done. You should not miss the chance to catch the exciting hobbit: The desolation of the Smaug. You will find out what happens next after the Smaug has been unleashed and is set to destroy the lakeside.
