The great Gatsby was written in 1925 by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The characters are fictional in a town of west egg. The story is about Jay Gatsby who is a young millionaire. Jay Gatsby has passion for Daisy Buchanan. The film was set in 1922 in long island. The film is meant to provide the history of America. During the era in which the film was produced there was flapper culture, economic prosperity as well as the evolution of jazz.

 It is using these developments that the writer used to come up with his story. The writer tries to educate his readers on the society during the twenties. This comes out through his plotline which is timeless. The great Gatsby was inspired by Fitzgerald’s visit to the north shore of Long Island.

Just like jay Gatsby, Fitzgerald also fell in love and tried to prove his love to his love. In as much as he was able to get the love of his life, she was after earthly treasures. He had to wait until he could succeed so that they can get married.

Nick caraway is the narrator and lives next to jay Gatsby the millionaire. In as much as jay throws parties, he does not take part in any of them. Nick meets with Jordan baker and gets into a Romantic relationship with her. The great Gatsby ends in a sad note. After Myrtles is killed her husband, George, killing Gatsby for suspecting him to have an affair with his wife. George later kills himself. The main characters in this film are nick caraway, Jay Gatsby, Daisy Fay Buchanan, Thomas Buchanan and Jordan Baker. The film is great and will leave you feeling like you can watch it over and over again. You will not regret watching this movie.
