The film’ music has been composed by Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson with Jeff Wadlow on the screenplay. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the Kick ass in the movie, inspires a great wave of masked vigilantes with his heroic antics. A vengeful villain, Red Mist, emerges as a formidable challenge to this team of vigilantes. The villain also becomes the world’s first super villain when he emerges as the Mother F**ker to avenge for the death of his father killed by Kick Ass and Hit Girl. Hit Girl, who has retired, joins the force back to fight The Mother F**ker.
The film was produced by Marv Films along with Universal Pictures. The movie, Kick A$s 2, is based on the comic book, Kick Ass and another comic Hit Girl. The first Kick Ass had positive reviews and the Kick Ass 2 sequel was not well received as the first movie. It was reviewed by critics as shaving no wit and the movie was full of generic and very usual fight scenes. Critics, who liked the first movie, just treat this as a separate movie with no lively story line as the first movie.
The movie, Kick A$s 2, was expected to earn around 19.8 million by the studio, based on the collections of the Kick Ass 1. The industry experts expected around 15 million dollars. The film finally grossed around 13 million, grossing below all expectations.
