The film Epic was released in 2013. It is an American film, 3 D computer animated. The film follows a fantasy action adventure genre. The movie is loosely based on the kid’s book, The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs by William Joyce. The film was produced by Blue Sky Studio. The voice actors of the movie include Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, Aziz Ansari, Chris O'Dowd, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler and Beyoncé Knowles. 20th Century Fox Animation studios were used in the movie and also distributed it.

The film epic is a solid family entertainer. It follows a narrative style of storytelling and is also very beautifully animated. The film takes the viewers on a journey to a fantastical world. The movie has been captured very lively, the battle between good and evil in the magical world. Like always, the forces of evil wish to destroy the world and the forces of good try to keep the natural world alive. A teen girl is magically transported in to this world. She teams up with the over sized warriors to save their world and ours.

The 102 minute film was released on 24th dollars. It was originally named as the leaf men. The movie grossed over two hundred sixty-eight million four hundred twenty-six thousand dollars worldwide. The film competed with many films upon release and finished 3rd received positive reviews from many critics. This is the latest release from the creators of Ice Age and Rio. This film has been named as a moderate box office success. The Blu Ray and Blu Ray 3 D version of the film is released on the August 20, 2013.
